Definition

Ẑ is the structural indexing operator used to distinguish persistent configurations once multiple inequivalent configurations are admitted.

It marks countability and structural identity within the LMR grammar.

Ẑ is not a quantum number, charge label, particle number, field operator, or measurement operator in Tier 1.

It is introduced only after persistence, half-fold countability, and structural distinguishability require indexing.

Ẑ may be used where structural indexing is required.

It may be used in discussions of persistent configurations, half-fold inventory, structural class identity, and later classification branches.


Prohibited Misuse

Ẑ must not be treated as:

  • standard atomic number by default
  • a quantum number by default
  • a particle count by default
  • a field operator
  • a measurement operator
  • a dynamical generator
  • a new primitive corridor

Any correspondence with standard labels belongs to a declared overlay or Tier 3 context.
