Tier 2
Definition
Tier 2 is the representational overlay layer of Length–Mass Reduction.
It contains observer-side constructions used to express, visualize, compare, or translate Tier 1 structure into familiar mathematical or physical forms.
Tier 2 does not govern Tier 1.
Tier Placement
Primary tier: Tier 2
Role: Representational overlay
Tier 2 belongs to interpretation, visualization, and translation. It may assist reading, but it does not modify the codex.
Source
Primary source: Declared overlays, supplements, diagrams, and interpretive notes
Authority level: Supplemental unless explicitly formalized in the paper sequence
Tier 2 material may support understanding of Tier 1 structure, but it must remain declared as overlay.
Function in LMR
Tier 2 provides representational tools for expressing Tier 1 relations in forms that may be more familiar to readers.
It functions in:
- diagrammatic interpretation
- observer-side representation
- explanatory overlays
- comparison to familiar mathematical structures
- visual or conceptual translation
- controlled bridge language
Tier 2 helps readers understand LMR without changing the Tier 1 grammar.
Allowed Use
Tier 2 may be used when explicitly declared as representational overlay.
It may help explain, visualize, or compare Tier 1 structure, provided the overlay does not become a new primitive or mechanism.
Prohibited Misuse
Tier 2 must not be treated as:
- Tier 1 authority
- foundational grammar
- a source of new primitives
- a source of new corridors
- a dynamical mechanism
- a replacement for the paper sequence
Tier 2 must not be used to retroactively modify Arc 1.
